This Multi Village Scheme (MVS) typically is to provide safe, potable and reliable water supply for MVS Kerehalli and Other 103 Habitation located in Koppal Taluka, Koppal District of villages situated in Koppal Taluka of Koppal District. Under this 18 numbers of villages are included. Population of these villages based on year 2011 census is 16071. Since ground water is not the reliable source and considering the water Quality, surface water source is the only technically viable option keeping in view of long-term sustainability and to improve the quality of life of people through Multi Villages Water Supply Schemes for Koppal district of state Karnataka. MVS Kerehalli and Other 103 Habitation has a raw water source i,e., Tungabadra Dead Storage near Munirabad village.

Post-Construction Evaluation

The raw water transmission is designed for 30 years and civil works of treatment plant is designed for 30 years requirement and mechanical units are designed for 15 years. The WTP is designed to cater the clear water demand for prospective year 2040 and for ultimate year 2055.

To supply the clear water demand for MVS Kerehalli and Other 103 Habitation, the WTP requirement for Prospective and Ultimate requirement is analysed with 22 hours of operation considering electric power supply of 22 hours in a day. 11kV Source is fed from the nearest station Munirabad through 11kV overhead line by GESCOM. 11/0.433kV step down transformers are installed near to the load centre for ongoing power distribution. The entire distribution is done through 433V, 50HZ, 3 phase supply.
