This Multi Village Scheme (MVS) typically involves providing safe and sustainable drinking water supply to multiple villages in Karatagi of Gangavathi Taluk from a Current source for water, Tunga Badra Left Bank Canal near Mylapur (Chainage 23.47 KM). The work includes construction of intake structures, water treatment plants, rising mains, overhead tanks, distribution pipelines, and necessary pump houses ensuring equitable water distribution, and creating provisions for long-term operation and maintenance.

The scheme aims to improve public health, reduce water scarcity, and ensure reliable access to potable water across all 28 beneficiary villages. Cited villages have an average population of 73562 inhabitants as per 2001 year census and projected population of 108880(For 20% decadal growth) inhabitants by the year of 2021.
